Peppermint Pleco

Parancistrus sp. (L300), often called Peppermint Pleco, is an L-catfish from Brazil (Rio Xingu, Pará). The species reaches about 15 cm, is best kept at 26–30 °C and pH 5.5–7. In the aquarium it mainly eats algae, vegetables, roots.

Keep stable water values around 26–30 °C and pH 5.5–7. Offer several hiding places and caves near the bottom. Roots or wood should be present in the aquarium. Feed a varied diet of algae, vegetables, roots.
