Glyptoperichthys lituratus (L196), often called Pterygoplichthys, is an L-catfish from Brazil (Rio Guaporé, Mato Grosso). The species reaches about 40 cm, best kept at 23–28 °C and pH 6–7.5. In the aquarium it mainly eats algae, vegetables, wood pieces.
