Ancistrus hoplogenys (L182), often called Starlight Bristlenose, is an L-catfish from Brazil (lower Rio Branco, Amazon). The species reaches about 13 cm, is best kept at 26–30 °C and pH 6–7. In the aquarium it mainly eats algae, vegetables, zucchini.
